Pay: $28 per hour
Shift Options:
  • 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
  • 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Location: ON-SITE- Madison, WI


Sirius Staffing is seeking Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technicians that will be responsible for supporting cGMP production of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and intermediates in a multi-shift manufacturing environment. This role requires strict adherence to safety protocols, attention to detail, and the ability to operate and maintain production equipment while ensuring product quality and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow and promote all safety protocols and proper use of PPE.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of production areas and equipment, including handling of potent compounds.
  • Operate as a primary or secondary technician in cGMP manufacturing processes.
  • Read and execute written procedures such as batch records and SOPs.
  • Set up, calibrate, operate, and troubleshoot production, labeling, and packaging equipment.
  • Perform equipment cleaning, disinfection, and autoclaving as required.
  • Assemble containers and components for production and verify accuracy.
  • Accurately portion materials and verify quantities.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation for traceability, including calculations, measurements, and batch records.
  • Utilize systems such as SAP and other internal tools for production tracking.
  • Communicate production status effectively during shift transitions.
  • Identify and resolve safety or process issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain inventory levels and coordinate supply needs.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organization in all work areas.
  • Report any safety or quality concerns immediately.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Work Environment & Safety Requirements
  • Must be comfortable working with highly potent and hazardous materials.
  • Required use of PPE may include:
  • Respirators (dust masks, half/full-face respirators, supplied air)
  • Company-issued uniforms
  • Lab coats
  • Full-body protective gear (e.g., disposable coveralls, hazmat suits)
  • Steel-toed safety shoes
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and work in a production environment.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED with relevant experience or Associate degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related life science
  • 2+ years in pharmaceutical, chemical, or related manufacturing environment

Required Skills & Competencies
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and procedures
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, email, etc.)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
  • Proficiency with hand tools, scales, and measuring devices
  • Basic math skills, including metrics and conversions
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate across shifts

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds with assistance as needed

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience weighing chemicals or working in regulated environments
  • Familiarity with GMP, SOPs, and manufacturing documentation practices
