- Location: Mobile, AL
- Day shift (Monday–Friday) with occasional overtime (no shift work)
- Contract to hire
- Pay listed below – Dependent on experience
Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Field Technician to support the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial and industrial equipment. This role involves working on-site at customer facilities, handling a variety of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities
- Assist and/or lead the installation and repair of:
- Loading dock equipment (levelers, restraints, shelters, seals, etc.)
- Commercial/industrial doors (rolling steel, high-speed, fire-rated)
- Access control systems (operators, safety devices, card systems)
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Track and manage equipment, tools, and supplies
- Travel to job sites using a company-provided vehicle (shop-to-site and back)
- Collaborate with team members or work independently as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous experience in maintenance, millwright, construction, industrial environment, or related field preferred
- Training can be provided
- Career growth and advancement opportunities – This could grow into a Lead role
- Familiarity with tools, equipment, and industrial systems
- Experience with welding, mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical systems is a plus
- Ability to handle physical workload and work at heights when required
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license, background check, and drug screening required
Competitive hourly pay, based on experience (DOE)
- Experienced candidates: ~$25–$28/hour
- Entry-level candidates with strong work ethic: ~$18/hour (training provided)
