Job Description
Position Title: Chemical Packaging Technician
Pay Rate: $20.00 – $23.00/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm
Location: St. Louis, MO 63118

Position Overview:
The Chemical Packaging Technician will be responsible for staging, filling, capping, labeling, and overpacking liquid, powder, and lyophilized products in accordance with approved packaging specifications and safety procedures. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fill, cap, and label chemical products using manual or semi-automated processes
- Follow all established quality control and safety procedures
- Complete required documentation per ISO procedures
- Deliver packaged products to inventory
- Support quality systems and continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate in team-based work environments and train others as needed
Requirements:
- 5–6 years of experience in a chemical handling or packaging environment
- Experience with chemical mixing, labeling, and handling
- Strong understanding of basic math
- Basic computer skills and data entry ability
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes
- Must be clean-shaven daily (respirator fit required)
- Ability to pass a physical and respirator fit test
- Onsite interviews required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Experience working in ISO, pharmaceutical, or biotech environments
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs using lifting equipment
- Ability to see both close and long distances
- Required to wear protective gear, including air helmet, respirator, safety shoes, apron, Tyvek suit, gloves, and safety goggles/glasses
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
