Overview:
We’re seeking a skilled Chemical Packaging Technician II to join our team on 2nd shift. This position involves hands-on work with chemicals in a packaging environment, offering the opportunity to transition into a full-time role. We are looking for candidates with at least 5–6 years of relevant experience who are detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and eager to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stage, fill (manual or semi-automatic), cap, label, and overpack liquid, powder, and lyophilized chemical products per approved specifications.
- Complete all required documentation per ISO procedures.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Deliver packaged products to inventory and maintain accurate records.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment and train new team members
Qualifications:
Required:
- 5–6 years of experience in a chemical or packaging environment
- Strong understanding of basic math
- Basic data entry and computer literacy
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs with lifting equipment
- Must pass a respirator fit test and be clean-shaven daily
- Willingness to learn and follow strict safety and quality guidelines
Preferred:
- Familiarity with SAP
- Experience in ISO, pharmaceutical, or biotech environments
Work Environment:
- Exposure to chemicals requiring full PPE, including masks, safety shoes, gloves, and Tyvek suits
- Physically demanding with regular lifting and long periods of standing
