Job Description
Chemical Packaging Operator- 3rd Shift
Location: St. Louis, MO
Employment Type: Long-Term Contract
Pay Rate: $21.00/hr + 10% Shift Differential = $23.10/hr Total
Shift: 3rd Shift | Monday–Thursday | 10:00 PM – 8:30 AM (4×10 schedule)
Training: First Shift (Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM) for 2–3 months
Industry: Life Sciences / Manufacturing

Position Overview
Sirius Staffing is seeking a Chemical Packaging Operator to support our clints in the manufacturing space at their St. Louis facility. In this role, you will play a critical part in manufacturing products according to established protocols, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and supporting departmental goals.
Note: This is not a warehouse position.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain production equipment, including:
- COP (Clean Out of Place) and CIP (Clean In Place) systems
- Kaps All Torquer
- Label line and related packaging systems
- Perform daily and monthly cleaning activities (routine and phenolic)
- Manage waste disposal and manually clean small parts
- Pull bottles from inventory, hand torque, and conduct torque testing
- Apply pinch clamps and package bags/bottles for production
- Execute batch records in SAP (eBR) and ensure logbooks are completed accurately
- Label all in-process equipment and containers correctly
- Report and communicate equipment or process deviations to supervision
- Follow all production procedures and safety protocols at all times
- Use, clean, and store PPE appropriately; take action to resolve unsafe conditions
- Participate in safety and quality training, maintaining good housekeeping standards
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with SAP and basic computer skills
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to occasionally lift and push up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in a production environment and wear PPE (including respirators) for extended periods
- May require shift work including 8/10/12-hour day or night schedules
- Standard physical exam required due to job duties
- Exposure to chemicals/substances requiring PPE
