Laboratory Technician
Job Description
Sirius Staffing is seeking a Laboratory Technician for a contract in St. Louis, MO.
Pay: $22 to $25/ hour.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8a-5p.
Summary
This role supports Research & Development scientists by performing laboratory testing and documentation related to product development. The technician will conduct immunohistochemistry (IHC) and other laboratory assays, maintain equipment, and ensure all work complies with regulatory and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing to support product development, including immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA, and other relevant assays as assigned.
- Prepare samples, reagents, and materials following established procedures and protocols.
- Perform routine laboratory housekeeping, equipment cleaning, maintenance, and calibration according to required schedules.
- Complete accurate paperwork and documentation in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Assist with creating, maintaining, and updating Design History Files (DHF) for new and existing products.
- Ensure all laboratory activities comply with applicable FDA, OSHA, EPA, ISO, and Quality System regulations.
- Communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formats.
- Read, interpret, and follow scientific protocols, instructions, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a cross-functional R&D team and adapt to changing priorities as needed.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a Life Sciences discipline OR
- Minimum of 3 years of laboratory experience.
Preferred:
- Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
- Formalin-Fixed, Paraffin-Embedded (FFPE) sample processing
- Autostaining experience (e.g., Ventana Benchmark autostainer.
