We are seeking a motivated Chemical Laboratory Technician to support lab experimentation tied to new product development and the scale-up of technologies from laboratory to commercial production. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates currently pursuing a degree in Chemistry or a related field to gain hands-on industry experience.
This role involves chemical synthesis, purification, analysis, and maintaining safe and efficient lab operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory synthesis to support product development, cost reduction, and process optimization
- Assist in reaction studies, operating limit determinations, and separation processes
- Analyze lab and plant samples using techniques such as chromatography, spectroscopy, rheology, and titrations
- Support hazard reviews and maintain strong awareness of laboratory safety practices
- Construct and assemble laboratory equipment, including compression fittings and small-gauge tubing
- Accurately document experimental procedures, observations, and results
- Collect and interpret lab data, including basic calculations
- Actively participate in safety programs, including inspections, job safety analyses, and training
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Chemistry or a related field
- Experience working in a laboratory environment (academic or industry)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation or control systems is a plus
