Sirius Staffing is seeking a Lab technician for a Contract with the potential to go direct in Janesville, WI. Please contact us today for more information.
 
Rate: 20-25hr.
 
Schedule:
During Training: First 2-3 months, Day shift, M-F, 8a-4p
After training: Rotating night shift work, 7 pm-7 am
Week 1 Mon, Tues, Fri, SA ON
Week 2 Wed, Thurs, SU ON
 
The Laboratory Technician III will support laboratory operations by conducting tests, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. This role involves performing quality control tests, calibrating instruments, and analyzing samples to support production and environmental compliance.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct laboratory tests on raw materials, in-process, finished product, and wastewater samples in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and sample testing plans.
  • Maintain, verify, and calibrate laboratory instruments such as GC, HPLC, GC/MS, AA, Rheometer, and IR as needed.
  • Perform test method evaluations and document results accurately.
  • Complete quality control tests and associated documentation in alignment with ISO and company standards.
  • Maintain lab inventory, prepare supplies, and support preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Participate in Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality (EHSQ) Management System activities, including nonconformance investigations, audits, and inventory management.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in lab processes and workflows.
 
Education and Experience:
  • Preferred: College degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent, with relevant laboratory experience.
 
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation such as GC, HPLC, GC/MS, AA, Rheometer, and IR is highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow standardized procedures.
  • Proficiency in documenting and analyzing test results accurately.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
