Lab Technician
Job Description
Sirius Staffing is seeking a contract Laboratory Technician to perform laboratory tests and analyses according to established standards and procedures. This role supports quality control, process improvement, environmental monitoring, and product development by determining the chemical and physical properties of various materials.
Rate:
$28hr
Schedule:
Rotating Shift work, 2,3,3,2
4:30 to 4:30
*Must be willing to work nights and weekends
Responsibilities:
- Collect, coordinate, and analyze raw material, in-process, and final product samples.
- Perform daily and weekly instrument calibrations to ensure testing accuracy.
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments as required.
- Record, organize, and maintain complete and accurate data of all analyses.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant laboratory environment.
- Collaborate effectively with management and production personnel to communicate results and support operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
- Strong understanding of laboratory equipment, functions, and maintenance.
- Experience handling hazardous chemicals safely and according to regulations.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in computer use and laboratory data systems.
