Lab Technician
Job Description
Sirius Staffing is seeking a Lab Technician for a temporary contract for 3-6 months in The Woodlands, TX. Please contact Sirius today for more information.
Pay Rate:
$20/hr.
Hours:
6a-2:30 pm Mon-Fri
Responsibilities:
- Perform DNA synthesis, cleaving, and deprotection procedures with precision and accuracy.
- Collaborate with the research and development team to execute experiments and analyze data.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper functioning.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Assist in inventory management and ordering of supplies.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Detail-oriented with strong multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in basic PC skills, including Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, and web-based applications.
- Flexibility to work beyond standard 8-hour shifts when necessary.
- Science background desired, with basic math and reading/writing skills.
- Completion of 1-2 year college courses towards a scientific degree, or recent graduates with bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Prior lab experience, either in a professional setting or academic environment, is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and instruments is advantageous.
