Lab Technician
Job Description
Sirius Staffing is seeking a Lab Technician for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Woodlands, TX. The Lab Technician will perform entry-level manufacturing duties involving production processes in a laboratory environment, with a focus on quality, accuracy, and adherence to safety protocols.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2p-10:30p
Pay: $ 20.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Create production batches and determine appropriate routing based on specifications.
- Synthesize oligonucleotides using various synthesizer platforms, including modification injections and conjugations as needed.
- Perform cleavage and deprotection procedures in product-specific conditions.
- Purify materials using various techniques and equipment, submit samples for quality control, and select materials for combining or shipping.
- Conduct setup activities such as preparing reagents and stocking raw materials/supplies.
- Label and cap containers, perform custom formatting or kitting when needed.
- Perform quantification and/or concentration normalization of samples.
- Handle liquids using both manual techniques and automated platforms for sampling, product transfer, dilution, and aliquoting.
- Utilize LIMS accurately throughout each manufacturing step.
Qualifications
- Minimum – High School Diploma or GED with 3-5 years laboratory experience
- Preferred – 2-year degree with 6 months of laboratory experience.
- Ability to achieve competency in 3 manufacturing processes within 6 months.
- Strong computer skills, specifically in MS Office.
- Ability to wear and comply with all required PPE (lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, and potentially face shield).
- Must adhere to all safety procedures and SOPs, and promptly report any potential hazards.
- Capable of following SOPs with accuracy and inspecting products to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
- Perform routine equipment checks and sanitization to maintain quality standards.
- Accurately complete all required quality assurance and documentation records..
