Job Description
Sirius Staffing is seeking a Night Shift Lab Tech for a contract opportunity in Wyoming, IL.
Training Schedule:
Day shift, 5 days per week
8 hour days (likely 8 a.m.–4 p.m. or 9 a.m.–5 p.m.)

Schedule:
Follows production schedule (4/3 and occasionally 4/4, 12 hour shifts)
4pm-4am shift
Summary:
This role will be part of a dynamic team supporting the production of a high-quality product. The incumbent will test the finished product, in-process, or raw material samples in the chemistry or microbiology lab to provide analytical information to support the manufacturing process and ensure the product meets specifications and consumer safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and qualify reagents as required.
- Assist in labeling non-conforming material as needed.
- Communicate test results and pertinent information to appropriate persons.
- Requires the ability to operate on a rotating shift schedule, including weekends.
- Ensure samples in the control laboratory are processed fully, accurately, posted, and done so promptly.
- Follow all standard lab procedures and testing methods.
- Assure lab equipment is kept clean and in good working order.
- Comply with ISO 9001 standards, both in the laboratory and in the plant
- Maintain accurate records of all test results and report them promptly in alignment with the quality system.
Qualifications:
- Minimum High School Degree with bachelor’s degree preferred in chemistry, biology, or related fields of study or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Familiarity with basic laboratory equipment and analytical testing procedures preferred.
- Demonstrated sound decision-making, problem-solving, self-motivation, and ability to react quickly under pressure.
- Good math and analytical skills (ability to perform calculations)
- Computer literacy with MS Office, email, Internet, etc.
