Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technician
Job Description
Sirius Staffing is seeking Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technicians in Birmingham, AL for 2nd shift, Mon–Fri. This role supports aseptic, terminal sterilized (cleanroom), and non-aseptic processes for pharmaceutical and polymer manufacturing across development, clinical, and commercial phases.
Rate: $25/hr + Benefits Offered + PTO | Holiday Pay
Type: Full-time, long-term contract, offering a stable and secure opportunity with the possibility of direct hire.
Shifts: 2nd shift 3pm-12am, Training may be on a day shift initially, which will be 8am-5pm
What you need to qualify for this position:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Chemistry or Biology (preferred)
- 2+ years of relevant industry experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical environment
- Familiarity with GMP or cGMP work environments
- Experience in machining or related fields is beneficial for understanding production processes.
- Manufacturing industry experience with strong mechanical reasoning and critical thinking skills
- Proficient in documentation, math, and computer skills
- Ability to perform aseptic techniques with minimal supervision
What you’ll do:
- Operate and maintain production equipment used in the fabrication of pharmaceutical products (PLC-controlled machinery)
- Accurately perform development/engineering, GLP, or GMP batch records
- Use essential hand and specialty tools for equipment operation
- Assemble and disassemble processing equipment for various processes
- Identify opportunities for maintenance, calibration, and improvement of facilities, equipment, and procedures
- Package finished products according to specifications, ensuring quality and accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, always adhering to safety protocols.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including wearing PPE.
