Laboratory Intern
Job Description
Sirius Staffing is seeking a Laboratory Intern for a long-term contract assignment (6-12 months) in Theodore, AL.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8a-5p
Pay: $22 to $30/ hour| PTO accruals.
This role provides hands-on laboratory support, assisting with analytical testing, instrumentation maintenance, and documentation in compliance with quality and safety standards. The position is well-suited for a recent Chemistry or Biology graduate looking to gain practical experience in a professional laboratory environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory analyses as directed by the Laboratory Manager.
- Review, edit, and develop quality assurance documents and work instructions.
- Assist in troubleshooting and repairing laboratory equipment under supervision.
- Calibrate and maintain analytical instruments including ICP-MS, ICP-OES, AA, GC, TOC, and other instrumentation.
- Perform SAP transactions related to raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
- Order laboratory chemicals, consumables, and materials as needed.
- Support ongoing laboratory projects and continuous improvement activities.
Qualifications:
- Recent graduate with a B.S. degree in Chemistry or Biology.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and follow safety/compliance protocols.
