Location: Trexlertown, PA

Schedule: Standard site hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (flexible +/- 30 minutes)
Pay: $28-33/hr BOE + Full benefits offered, 80 hours PTO accrued & Holiday Pay
Sirius Staffing is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Laboratory Technician with a passion for cutting-edge manufacturing to join our team in Trexlertown, PA. In this role, you'll support new product development and technical investigations focused on powder-based 3D printing (Additive Manufacturing), fiber-based products, and analytical testing.

Key Responsibilities:
Additive Manufacturing & Lab Operations:
- Operate and maintain powder-based 3D printers and related post-processing tools (e.g., sandblasting, tumbling).
- Set up builds, process parts, perform inspections, and validate output.
- Support powder processing activities (mixing, sieving, blending).
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of equipment and lab areas.
Fiber and Material Testing:
- Assist in the investigation and analysis of fiber-based products (e.g., filter bags, felts).
- Conduct various analytical test methods, including microscopy, wet chemistry, and mechanical prep.
- Interpret material standards (ISO, ASTM) and ensure compliance with SOPs.
Documentation & Compliance:
- Maintain detailed records of procedures, data, and results using lab data systems.
- Write and review lab procedures and technical reports.
- Handle inventory, outbound and inbound shipments, and sample tracking.
Collaboration & Support
- Coordinate internal and external testing.
- Provide technical support to engineers and project managers.
- Participate in quality compliance efforts and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You’ll Need:
- Associate Degree in Material Science, Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 2–4 years of experience in 3D printing, preferably with powders or polymers.
- Skilled in powder handling, hazardous materials, and lab safety protocols.
- Strong understanding of SOPs, ISO, ASTM testing, and documentation standards.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams).
- Comfortable lifting 50 lbs., wearing PPE, and climbing stairs when needed.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Preferred Extras:
- Familiarity with CAD software and polymer processing machines.
- Experience in method development and troubleshooting lab equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and a proactive, team-first mindset.
