Job Description
Logistics Specialist – Round Rock, TX
Sirius Staffing is seeking a Logistics Specialist for a temp-to-hire position in the Round Rock, TX area. This position plays a key role within the Operations Support group, ensuring efficient, accurate, and compliant management of materials and inventory in a regulated environment.
The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, technical proficiency, and a proactive approach to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of inventory operations.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $25/hour
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory counts, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
- Perform receiving duties including matching packing slips to purchase orders, inspecting materials, tagging, labeling, and posting receipts in the system.
- Issue and track inventory and consumables; process stock returns (RMA) and deliver materials to end users.
- Manage expired and non-conforming items to ensure compliance.
- Conduct cycle counts, production reporting, and inventory reconciliations.
- Support documentation, quality audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Follow all Health & Safety policies and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Collaborate with team members and cross-train in other departmental tasks.
- Participate in process improvements focusing on efficiency, accuracy, and safety.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Associate’s degree in a math or science-related field preferred.
- Strong computer skills; proficiency with inventory software (MACOLA preferred).
- Logistics or supply chain background.
- Basic math and data analysis skills.
- Inventory management experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for most of the workday.
- Steel-toed shoes required (voucher provided).
Preferred:
- Prior experience in a chemical, distribution, or regulated manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of cGMP, regulatory compliance, or quality systems.
- Excellent attention to detail, multitasking, and communication skills.
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
