Logistics Clerk

Schedule: M-F, 8a-5p
Pay:$26.00- $40.00
Summary : This role is responsible for coordinating logistics activities, tracking shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring efficient material flow to support construction and engineering operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience with supply chain logistics, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate material and equipment deliveries to and from the project site, ensuring smooth and timely logistics operations.
- Track and monitor shipments, working closely with vendors and transportation providers to resolve delays and ensure on-time deliveries.
- Maintain inventory records, monitor material usage, and collaborate with site teams to ensure adequate supply levels.
- Prepare and manage shipping and receiving documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and delivery receipts, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Work closely with engineering and construction teams to understand material needs and provide logistical support to meet project deadlines.
- Act as a liaison between suppliers, logistics providers, and project teams, facilitating clear and effective communication.
- Proactively identify and resolve logistical challenges, implementing solutions to minimize disruptions.
- Manage logistics processes, including processing shipping documents, tracking inventory, and coordinating transportation.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Utilize logistics software, Microsoft Office Suite, and supply chain management tools to maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize logistics operations and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Or 3-5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain, preferably in a construction or engineering environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage logistics operations in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics software.
- Strong knowledge of logistics terminology and supply chain management principles.
Preferred:
- Experience with bills of lading and logistics documentation.
- Prior experience in a construction and/or engineering environment
