Job Details: 

  • Shift: Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM 

  • Pay: $22 per hour 

  • Industry: Chemical Manufacturing 

 

As a Logistics Specialist, you will help manage inventory, shipments, and deliveries in a chemical manufacturing facility. Your main goal is to ensure that materials are stored, shipped, and received correctly while following safety and legal guidelines. This role is important because it helps keep production running smoothly and ensures customers get their orders on time. 

Job Responsibilities: 

  1. Managing Inventory – Keep track of products and materials, making sure counts are correct and fixing any mistakes. 

  1. Receiving Shipments – Check and store incoming materials properly, matching them with purchase orders. 

  1. Shipping Orders – Pack and send finished products, ensuring all shipments follow safety rules (DOT, IATA regulations). 

  1. Keeping Records – Update inventory systems with accurate data on stock levels, shipments, and returns. 

  1. Handling Expired or Defective Items – Identify and remove non-usable materials from inventory. 

  1. Stocking Supplies – Make sure materials and tools needed for work are always available. 

  1. Communicating with Teams – Work with customer service and operations teams to ensure smooth shipping and delivery. 

  1. Following Safety Rules – Maintain a clean and safe workspace, following all health and safety regulations. 

  1. Process Improvement – Help find ways to make inventory and shipping processes more efficient. 

  1. Cross-Training – Learn different tasks within the department to provide full support when needed. 

 

Requirements: 

Education: High school diploma (experience in logistics, shipping, or inventory management is a plus). 

Experience: Prior work in a warehouse, manufacturing, or shipping role is preferred. 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Lift up to 50 lbs 

  • Stand and walk for most of the day 

  • Bend to pick up products 

Skills: 

  • Attention to detail and accuracy 

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment 

  • Teamwork and good communication skills 

  • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking
