Job Description

Sirius Staffing is currently seeking a Logistics Administrative Assistant to join our team in Blair, NE. This is a full-time contract-to-direct-hire role for a large manufacturing site. The Logistics & Administrative Support position entails a dual responsibility; will be accountable for ensuring on-time deliveries of all products, materials, and supplies while meeting customer regulatory requirements. Additionally, they will provide administrative support for both the logistics office and the administrative building.

 Responsibilities:
  • Communicate and coordinate with drivers while on the facility. This includes but is not limited to providing directions, the check-in process, and obtaining the necessary documentation, and information to perform the loading function.
  • Assist with administrative functions within the Logistics office & the Admin Building (i.e., answering phones, ordering office supplies, ensuring the office and driver’s areas stay tidy)
  • Communicate and work with the loading team to ensure a smooth process.
  • Verify loads before the loading process to ensure accuracy
  • Using SAP to generate shipping documentation.
  • Verify seal numbers and vehicle information on package product, as well as, physically placing the seal on the vehicle.
  • Perform document reviews before shipping and at the end of the day to ensure accuracy
  • Handle incoming materials, complete documentation, report damages or issues promptly
  • Adhere to Safety and operational site policies and procedures.
 
Requirements: 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • Previous inventory or warehouse knowledge highly preferred 
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook and Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; Ability to provide a high level of customer service; professional telephone, email, and office etiquette; good listening skills.
  • Exceptional Organizational skills 
  • Accuracy with strong attention to detail and focus on quality.
  • Must be self-motivated, dependable, with ability to work independently
  • Adaptability to changing tasks and environment without the loss of efficiency
  • Ability to perform light lifting.
  • Capable of repetitive tasks involving sitting, standing, and walking.
Preferred: 
  • Forklift certification
  • Inventory and Warehouse knowledge
