Maintenance Inventory Specialist

Job Description

Sirius Staffing is seeking a Maintenance Inventory Specialist for a long-term contract opportunity in Chester, PA.
 
Schedule: M-F, 8a-5p 
 
Pay: $21–$26/hour, plus 10 paid holidays and 80 hours of accrued PTO 
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Maintain an organized and accurate maintenance storeroom and spare parts inventory.
  • Perform timely and accurate inventory transactions to ensure real-time parts availability.
  • Receive, store, issue, and track parts and supplies; perform cycle counts and reconcile repaired parts inventory.
  • Prepare and manage kits and work order (WO) pick lists to support maintenance and project readiness.
  • Generate, track, and monitor purchase requisitions (PRs) for maintenance and project support.
  • Coordinate with third-party MRO vendors and suppliers (e.g., Fastenal, Grainger) to optimize inventory levels and costs.
  • Support procurement activities and maintain strong supplier relationships to meet site operational goals.
  • Ensure parts and kits are available for scheduled work orders while balancing inventory levels and lead times.
  • Update and maintain SAP/CMMS records in compliance with mechanical integrity and process safety requirements.
  • Support the maintenance team with documentation updates, work instructions, and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Manager on 5S initiatives, KPI tracking, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintain working knowledge of rotating equipment (pumps, fans, gearboxes, and related components) to support maintenance readiness.
 
Requirements: 
 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
  •  Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance inventory, storeroom, or similar industrial role.
  • Experience working in industrial or manufacturing maintenance storerooms.
  • Familiarity with industrial parts, tools, and equipment used in maintenance environments.
  • Experience with cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, and procurement processes.
  • Working knowledge of CMMS/ERP systems; SAP experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of rotating equipment (pumps, fans, gearboxes, etc.).
  • Team Manufacturing experience preferred (Green Belt or higher a plus).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and lull; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs independently (maintenance team requirement).
