Job Description

Sirius Staffing is seeking a talented Maintenance-Reliability Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Augusta, GA. This is for a large chemical manufacturing facility.  The Manager will play a pivotal role in enhancing the reliability, operability, and technical integrity of our plant equipment and site facilities, in a cost-effective manner.

As a Maintenance-Reliability Manager, you will lead cross-functional teams in conducting reliability reviews and RCA to drive performance to higher standards. Additionally, you will ensure repairs are made in a timely fashion and manage maintenance budgets. Your role will be crucial in developing preventive and predictive maintenance plans to improve overall plant reliability.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and the implementation of the manufacturing plan, in cooperation with the management team members.
  • Define and implement a comprehensive maintenance plan, including preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, to maximize production facility availability.
  • Manage and monitor the execution of the maintenance plan, taking corrective actions, when necessary
  • Define and implement performance indicators, ensuring regular reporting against predefined targets.
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety and environmental standards and regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and manage cost-effective maintenance organization and standard working processes.
  • Strategically manage the inventory of maintenance equipment and spare parts to maximize reliability while minimizing costs.
  • Effectively manages plant shutdowns with detailed plans
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing personnel outside normal working hours as needed.
  • Formulate, obtain approval, and manage the yearly cost budget for the maintenance organization.
  • Translate Plant Management objectives into a Preventive & Predictive Maintenance Plan (PPM).
  • Identify critical equipment and perform Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (FMEA).
  • Analyze plant performance using statistical methods, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and FMEA.
  • Propose and initiate solutions to eliminate performance issues and cost drivers.
  • Safeguard the availability of critical spare parts for the plant.
  • Initiate, prepare, and manage small capital projects related to equipment reliability.
  • Ensure addition, deletion and/or modification of new/existing PM schedules.
  • Ensure updates to the CURE (CMMS) with new equipment and modifications 
  • Assess yearly PPM and propose improvement 
Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical or process engineering 
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a maintenance or technical support function
  • Strong people management, change management, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in planning, organizing, decision-making, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of maintenance programs and tools, including CURE and SAP PM.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CLS (Certified Lubrication Specialist)
  • CMRP (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional)
  • CRL (Certified Reliability Leader)
