We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Maintenance Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing daily cleaning and light maintenance tasks to ensure our facilities are well-maintained and presentable.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Facility Maintenance: Perform day-to-day cleaning and light maintenance tasks, including replacing lights, plumbing repairs, painting, and other general upkeep of the Health Department facilities.
  • Outdoor Maintenance: Conduct outdoor maintenance tasks such as cleaning, pressure washing, trash pickup around the building perimeter, and light landscaping duties, including trimming and planting.
  • Event Support: Assist the Maintenance Department with moving furniture, setting up and taking down for events, and other general maintenance activities as needed.
  • Equipment Handling: Utilize a variety of maintenance-related tools and equipment to complete tasks effectively and safely.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall maintenance and functionality of the facilities.
 
Qualifications:
  • General knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Ability to perform light maintenance tasks, including plumbing, painting, and electrical work.
  • Basic landscaping skills, including trimming and planting.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
 
Work Environment:
  • Primarily, indoor work and some outdoor tasks are required.
  • Physical work involves lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
