Maintenance Technician
Job Description
Sirius Staffing is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Technician for a contract position in St. Louis, MO.
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 6 AM–6 PM on a rotating two-week schedule:
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday
Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday
The Manufacturing Technician 4 supports operational functions, provides technical guidance, assists in implementing process improvements, and participates in departmental projects to meet organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and oversee powered industrial equipment such as reactors, industrial centrifuges, dryers, and ion exchange columns.
Support floor operations and cover for supervisors when necessary.
Assisted in maintaining workflow and ensuring departmental efficiency.
Train new personnel and provide ongoing technical guidance to team members.
Lead by example in meeting manufacturing and safety standards.
Participate in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and process improvement projects.
Maintain high-quality work environments and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Monitor product flow and operating systems, keeping work areas clean, safe, and organized.
Report unsafe conditions or hazards to management.

Qualifications:
Education:
Associate degree in life sciences or related fields, OR
High school diploma with chemical coursework or equivalent experience.

Experience:
2–3 years of experience in a similar manufacturing environment (preferred).

Technical Skills:
Familiarity with GMP processes.
SAP and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access).
Strong communication, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and shifting priorities.

Physical Requirements:
Lift and carry up to 55 pounds while wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
Move drums weighing 300+ pounds with assistance.
Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights and rotating schedules.
