Manufacturing Operations Manager
Job Description
Sirius Staffing is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager in Whitsett, NC.
Summary: This role is responsible for production performance, team leadership, continuous improvement, cost management, quality, safety, and customer delivery.
Pay Rate: $60.00/hr.
Temp to perm (possibility to roll direct around 6 months)
Experience with server manufacturing, enterprise hardware, data center equipment, or comparable technology manufacturing is a MUST for this role ***
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily manufacturing operations to achieve production, quality, delivery, cost, inventory, and safety goals.
- Manage and develop managers, supervisors, engineers, technicians, and production teams.
- Optimize staffing, equipment, materials, and resources to improve productivity and throughput.
- Lead operations involving complex assembly, systems integration, testing, and product configuration.
- Establish and monitor KPIs including OEE, yield, quality, productivity, delivery, labor efficiency, inventory, and cost.
- Drive Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement improvements to reduce waste, improve quality, and lower costs.
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Finance, and Program Management.
- Support NPI, product launches, manufacturing readiness, and capacity expansion.
- Manage operational budgets, resource planning, forecasting, and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EHS, quality, and company requirements.
- Communicate operational performance, risks, and priorities to senior leadership.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field.
- 10+ years of progressive manufacturing or operations leadership experience.
- Experience leading large teams in complex, high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Experience with server manufacturing, enterprise hardware, data center equipment, or comparable technology manufacturing.
- Experience with complex assembly, systems integration, manufacturing testing, or product configuration.
- Proven success improving productivity, quality, throughput, and cost performance.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or related advanced degree.
- Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or Operational Excellence certification.
- Experience with server manufacturing, rack integration, enterprise computing, or data center infrastructure.
- DWC or similar Lenovo ISG manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with NPI and manufacturing readiness.
- Experience with SAP, ERP, MES, budgeting, forecasting, and capacity planning
