Packaging Technician – Life Sciences
Sirius Staffing is seeking a Packaging Technician for a contract opportunity with a leading life sciences organization. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, laboratory, chemical manufacturing, or other regulated production environments who have strong attention to detail and experience following quality and documentation procedures.
Position Details
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Pay: $21.00-$22.00 per hour

Position Summary
The Packaging Technician is responsible for labeling, relabeling, and packaging reference standard solutions and material aliquots to support catalog and custom product offerings. This role ensures products are packaged accurately, documented properly, and completed in compliance with quality, safety, and production requirements.
The successful candidate will maintain detailed records, review documentation for accuracy, meet production timelines, and support a safe and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform labeling, relabeling, and packaging activities according to established procedures and production requirements
- Prepare, review, and complete batch records, forms, and production documentation
- Verify labeling and packaging information for accuracy prior to execution
- Ensure finished products meet quality standards and customer specifications
- Track project progress and communicate delays or issues that may impact timelines
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and safety requirements
- Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the production process
- Support housekeeping and organization of work areas
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and customer commitments
- Utilize required PPE when handling designated materials and chemicals
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate Degree preferred
- Previous experience in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Laboratory, Chemical Manufacturing, or other regulated environments preferred
- Experience with packaging, labeling, production operations, or manufacturing processes
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and work instructions
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical & Work Environment
- Exposure to chemicals and substances requiring Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Standard physical examination required
- No routine lifting over 20 pounds
- No respirator required
- No forklift operation required
