Manufacturing Operators
Job Description
Sirius Staffing is seeking several Manufacturing Operators to work in a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing department in Birmingham, AL.
Rate: $20.00/hr + benefits offered + PTO accrued & Holiday Pay
Shift/Schedule: The shifts all start out 8a - 5p with the potential to move to other shifts, so flexibility is preferred.
This position is responsible for assisting with all aspects of aseptic, sterilizing, and clean room processes for pharmaceutical or special chemical manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct visual inspections of final products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Clean and sanitize production equipment and assets using manual or automated methods (e.g., hand wiping, Clean-in-Place, Steam-in-Place).
- Maintain general housekeeping, stock consumable supplies, and track inventory through cycle counts.
- Identify and support opportunities for maintenance, calibration, and process improvements.
- Perform additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 20/20 vision (with or without correction).
- Ability to use basic hand tools and specialty tools for equipment operation.
- Proficiency in basic computer operations.
- Strong math skills, including arithmetic and the ability to apply formulas as needed.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow detailed technical documentation and written instructions accurately.
- Familiarity with general lab glassware.
- Basic understanding of machinery/system controls and computer/data logging software.
- Knowledge of cGMP procedures.
- Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills.
- Team-oriented with a strong focus on safety.
- Preferred AA degree in a technical field
- Preferred relevant experience with manufacturing equipment such as homogenizers, extruders, pumps, stirred reactors, lyophilizers, filtration devices, hot oil systems, cooling systems, grinding mills, pelletizers, and fillers.
