Job Description

Sirius Staffing is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for a long-term position in Sunnyvale, CA. 
Pay $ 30.00/ hour to 45.00/ hour. 
Shift: Days, or Nights, 7a-7p, or 7p-7a.
Technicians work on systems and maintain a supply of chemicals and gases to a semiconductor manufacturing environment that makes the chips used in electronic devices such as smartphones, LEDs, and Flat Screen TVs.
Technicians will be responsible for the safe operation of assigned chemical and/or gas distribution systems, with duties including:
Responsibilities:
  • Handling and change-out of gas, chemical, and slurry containers
  • Gas and chemical equipment troubleshooting and preventative/repair maintenance
  • Computer operations to support job functions and customer needs
  • Support of quality systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 10 years of Experience as a maintenance or equipment technician 
Preferred Qualifications:
  •  Associate / Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in electronics, design, or engineering.
  • Previous experience with chemical and gas distribution systems /equipment in semiconductor ultra-high purity operations as an equipment technician.
  • Navy Nuclear power or Military mechanic trained. 
  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Excellent communication skills
Physical Attributes:
  • Occasionally climbing ladders (utilizing fall protection)
  • In some cases, Technicians must put on Supplied Contained Breathing Air Respirator (this type of respirator provides air from a cylinder through a mask connected to the cylinder) while working with chemicals (approx. 10-15 minutes
  • Basic lifting (up to 40lbs)
  • Bending of the knees and overhead reaching
  • PPE made available to workers includes safety glasses, hard hat, ear plugs, chemical aprons, gloves, etc. Worker will be provided with vouchers to purchase safety boots, which they are required to wear.
