Job Description

Sirius Staffing is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join our team at a large Chemical/Life Science Manufacturer in St. Louis, MO. This is for the Pharma role, which will involve working with chemicals and packaging tissue cultures. 

This is working day shift, Mon – Fri, 6am - 230pm.

A contract-to-permanent role that provides a chance to actively participate in creating top-tier products within a vibrant and cooperative workplace setting.

Overview:  The responsibility will be crucial in manufacturing, operating equipment, executing production operations, and maintaining a safe and compliant work environment, including the manufacture of products according to established protocols and the performance of operations supporting all departments across the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate processing equipment, including COP (Clean out of place), CIP (clean in place), Kaps All Torquer, Label line, and other specified machinery.
  • Perform routine cleaning of rooms, monthly phenolic cleaning, and waste disposal tasks.
  • Execute batch records in SAP and ensure accurate documentation of processes and equipment status.
  • Maintain compliance with production procedures and safety policies, actively participating in safety and quality training.
  • Use, clean, and store personal protective gear properly and ensure the correct labeling of equipment and containers.
  • Communicate effectively to supervisors regarding process status, equipment issues, and deviations.
Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in written and oral communication
  • Computer skills, specifically in SAP
  • Mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting abilities required
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills required 
Additional Requirements:
  • Comfortable working in a production environment
  • Capable of occasional lifting and pushing up to 50 pounds
  • Flexibility with shift work, including day/night schedules and various days of the week
  • Ability to work while wearing personal protective equipment, including respirators, for extended periods
