Sirius Staffing is seeking candidates for a Manufacturing Technician position in St. Louis, MO. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity! Please contact me for more info!
Schedule: 6a-6p,
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
- Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday.
Pay:$24.00 - $25.00/ hour
Summary: This role supports daily operations, provides technical guidance, implements process improvements, and contributes to departmental projects to achieve company objectives.
Responsibilities
- Train and support production staff to maintain high-quality performance.
- Lead by example in performing packaging tasks while ensuring safety, accuracy, and GMP compliance.
- Monitor production data, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement lean manufacturing practices to enhance workflow and reduce waste.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machinery, automated equipment, and production processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new production methods and product designs.
- Participate in process improvement projects, lead test cycles, and evaluate system efficiency.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for implemented changes.
- Operate and maintain packaging equipment such as drum massagers, delumpers, filling machines, cappers, and automated labelers.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment, reporting any unsafe conditions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned and maintain excellent attendance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Chemistry coursework or 6+ months of chemistry-related work experience preferred.
- 2–4 years of packaging or manufacturing experience preferred (not required).
- Experience operating automated packaging equipment and forklifts required.
- GMP experience strongly preferred.
- Must be clean-shaven for PPE compliance.
- Ability to operate industrial equipment and perform hand-weighing operations.
- Strong knowledge of product flow in the packaging process.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; detail-oriented team player.
- Skilled in setting up and running equipment such as drum massagers, delumpers, filling machines, cappers, automated labelers, and similar tools.
