Job Description

Sirius Staffing is seeking Material Controllers for a Contract opportunity working a 3-month shutdown in Pascagoula, MS. 
 
Shutdown duration:
February 5- April 25
 
Schedule:
Schedule 6:00-6:30, 7/12s (13 days on with 1 day off)
Need both day and night shift availability 
 
Rate:
26hr.
 
The Material Controllers will coordinate materials from vendors to the warehouse and ensure the timely delivery to the field. This role involves tracking, updating, and expediting materials using company software while maintaining clear communication with vendors and project managers. A key responsibility includes managing Conex boxes on job sites to ensure secure and efficient storage of materials, supporting seamless project operations.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Material Coordination: Track and update material orders from vendors to the warehouse and into the field, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries.
  • Vendor Communication: Communicate with vendors to verify order accuracy, manage receipt of materials, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Project Collaboration: Work closely with the Project Manager to address material variances and ensure availability for project needs.
  • Conex Box Management:
    • Organize, track, and securely store materials in Conex boxes on job sites.
    • Ensure efficient access to supplies while minimizing clutter and safety hazards.
    • Support construction project workflows by maintaining orderly material storage.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in material handling, inventory management, or related fields.
  • Proficiency with material tracking and company software systems preferred.
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift over 50lbs
  • Forklift experience preferred
