Job Description

Sirius Staffing is a Material Handler for a contract-to-hire position in Indianapolis, IN.
Pay $21.00/hr. 
 
Summary: Receive and store purchased and inter-company transferred goods. Pick, pack, ship and distribute goods with required documentation to meet company needs. Participates in physical inventories of the warehouse, issue and delivers goods to manufacturing. 
Responsibilities:
  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials, including temperature-controlled items.
  • Pick, pack, ship, and distribute materials to support manufacturing and customer orders.
  • Verify shipments against packing lists, bills of lading, purchase orders, and related documentation; report discrepancies or damaged goods.
  • Label, document, and track materials in accordance with company procedures.
  • Deliver accepted materials within required timeframes or notify requestors upon receipt.
  • Prepare and maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory records using computer systems.
  • Operate material-handling equipment such as hand trucks and pallet movers.
  • Ensure FIFO compliance, correct lot control, temperature requirements, and accurate shipping methods.
  • Schedule carriers (FedEx, UPS, etc.), track inbound and outbound shipments, and communicate updates.
  • Perform daily cycle counts and assist with physical inventories.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP system (Oracle experience a plus).
  • Communicate and collaborate with Manufacturing, QA/QC, Planning, Purchasing, Customer Service, and other departments.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and efficient work areas.
  • Support compliance with cGMP, ISO, and company safety policies.
  • Work overtime as required during peak periods, quarter-end, or inventory counts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership..
 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 0–2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory control.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to use inventory or tracking software. ERP system (Oracle experience a plus).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using hand trucks and pallet movers preferred.
