Material Handler
Job Description
- Execute daily plant priorities, specifically as it pertain to material requirements.
- Move material within the plant by safely operating a forklift, pallet jack, or company vehicle.
- Pull and put away materials in their assigned location(s), including but not limited to warehouse spaces, hotboxes, and production staging areas.
- Stage and pull orders, per BOL & Department paperwork instructions.
- Verify paperwork and quantities on inbound shipments.
- Acquire signatures as required on in/outbound shipments.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and LTL shipments.
- Label shipments by DOT and the company's requirements.
- Check the condition of packaging on all outgoing shipments.
- Collect samples of incoming raw materials as required (excluding technical)
- Block/brace shipments.
- Housekeeping and organization of the materials within the warehouse
- Complete all assigned department documents, including but not limited to:
- Unloading/loading tally sheet(s)
- Shift Turnover Checklist
- Warehouse Utilization metrics
- Accurately complete assigned cycle counts
- Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other
- High School education or equivalent.
- 1 year of Material Handling experience.
- Forklift experience required.
- SAP, Microsoft, and computer skills preferred.
