Material Handler
Job Description
Sirius Staffing is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Warehouse Material Handler to support daily shipping and receiving operations in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for moving, staging, and verifying materials while following company and regulatory standards.
Rate: 18hr.
Schedule: M-F, 7a-3:30pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute daily material movement and plant priorities
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and company vehicles
- Pull, stage, and put away materials in warehouse and production areas
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and LTL shipments
- Verify quantities and paperwork for inbound and outbound shipments
- Label shipments in accordance with DOT and site requirements
- Inspect packaging condition prior to shipment
- Collect raw material samples as required (non-technical)
- Block and brace shipments for safe transport
- Maintain warehouse organization and housekeeping standards
- Complete required documentation, including tally sheets, shift turnover checklists, utilization metrics, and cycle counts
Safety & Compliance:
- Perform all job duties with a strong focus on safety and environmental standards
- Follow all Hazmat and site safety procedures
- Participate in safety meetings, programs, and incident investigations
- Support site policies related to safety, security, and compliance
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Forklift experience required
- Dependable with strong attendance
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
- Basic computer skills (SAP and Microsoft experience a plus)
