Job Description

Sirius Staffing is seeking Technicians in the Austin, TX, area. This opportunity offers on-the-job training for quickly learning critical technical skills to excel in this role and be considered for converting to permanent as determined by supervisors and business needs.
 
Schedule: 
Various shifts are available, such as day, night, 5-day, and compressed shifts (3 days on, 4 days off / 4 days on, 3 days off) based on business needs! Overtime is available as well! The shift needs as determined by the business.

Day shift: 6:00 am-6:00 pm
Night shift 6:00 pm-6:00 am

Technicians work on systems and maintain a supply of chemicals and gases to a semiconductor manufacturing environment that makes the chips used in electronic devices such as Smart Phones, LEDs, and Flat Screen TVs.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Technicians will be responsible for the safe operation of assigned chemical and/or gas distribution systems, with duties including:
  • Handling and change-out of gas, chemical, and slurry containers
  • Gas and chemical equipment troubleshooting and preventative/repair maintenance
  • Computer operations to support job functions and customer needs
  • Support of quality systems
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Prior experience in maintenance or as an equipment technician or in a mechanical or electronic environment is a plus
  • Previous experience with chemical and gas distribution equipment is helpful but not a must
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Excellent communication skills
Physical Attributes:
  • Walking up to 5 or 6 miles per day
  • Occasionally may need to climb a tanker truck (18-wheeler) while using fall protection to off-load chemicals into a drum
  • In some cases, Technicians must wear a respirator
  • Basic lifting (up to 40lbs)
  • Bending of the knees and overhead reaching
  • PPE available to workers includes safety glasses, hard hats, ear plugs, chemical aprons, gloves, etc.
