Job Description

Sirius Staffing is seeking professionals for Megasys Technician positions in Santa Clara, CA. This is a challenging, hands-on, rewarding job opportunity for people who want to join a growing business in a career role. This position offers OTJ training for quickly learning critical technical skills to excel in this role.

Pay $24 – $32/hr BOE  
Schedule: New hires will be trained on the Monday through Friday day shift for 2-3 months and then assigned to a compressed shift. 

Technicians work on systems and maintain a supply of chemicals and gases in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. The individual will be responsible for supporting and leading the technical demands of the site gas or chemical equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Handling and change-out of gas, chemical, and slurry containers
  • Gas and chemical equipment troubleshooting and preventative/repair maintenance
  • Computer operations to support job functions and customer needs
  • Support of quality systems.
  • Manage and maintain accurate inventory records for chemical and gas storage.
  • Assist with lifting materials and ensuring proper placement within storage areas.
  • Ensure compliance with operation and maintenance procedures and emergency preparedness and drive flawless execution.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to safely handle and move chemicals and gases.
  • Prior experience in maintenance or as an equipment technician or in a mechanical or electronic environment is a plus
  • Previous experience with chemical and gas distribution equipment is helpful
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Military training is welcomed
  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Capable of performing cylinder and drum changes on all chemical and gas systems and performing complex troubleshooting and problem resolution for all equipment.
Physical Attributes:
  • Occasionally climbing ladders (utilizing fall protection)
  • Must adhere to a clean-shaven policy for respirator use, in some cases, Technicians must wear a respirator while working with chemicals (approx. 10-15 minutes) 
  • Basic lifting, up to 40lbs.
  • Bending of the knees and overhead, reaching
  • PPE is made available; it includes safety glasses, hard hats, ear plugs, chemical aprons, gloves, etc. Employees will be given vouchers to purchase safety boots, which are required.
