Meter Specialist
Job Description
Sirius Staffing is currently hiring a Meter Specialist for a full-time, 6-month contract position based onsite in New Orleans, LA.
Schedule: Monday- Friday. 8a-5p
Responsible for the installation, inspection, testing, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of utility metering systems. This role ensures accurate measurement of electricity, gas, or water usage and supports billing integrity, system reliability, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, program, and maintain standard meters
- Perform routine meter testing and accuracy checks
- Troubleshoot basic meter and communication issues
- Interpret wiring diagrams and installation procedures
- Support field investigations and customer inquiries
- Maintain accurate service documentation.
Requirement:
- High school diploma (technical training preferred)
- 2–5 years of experience in metering or a related field.
- Previous electrician experience (preferred)
- Familiar with Microsoft Office suite
