Job Description
Sirius Staffing is seeking a CSA Designer for a remote opportunity but must be able to report to the site in Theodore when needed and may be required to travel to other facilities. This candidate must have extensive progressive experience in civil/structural layout & design.

Requirements:
- An associate degree in Engineering Technology or Computer-Aided Drafting is required.
- At least 7 years of relevant work experience is required, Chemical, Petrochemical, or Oil & Gas
- Knowledge and understanding of schedule constraints and information requirements for producing all civil/structural deliverables.
- Working knowledge of CAD software & AVEVA E3D.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Applications; Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Forecasting hours to complete tasks.
- Ability to coordinate with other disciplines to provide efficient equipment layouts and space usage.
- Must have the capability of working from home as well as in the office (Mobile)
- Willing and able to travel as needed for project support (up to 25% of the time)
- This position will require travel across North America as required to support other projects.
Essential Functions:
- Performing field-related work collecting design information and verifying designs, function, and clearances to the existing facility; on-site assistance during startup; performing field support activities, where assigned, for engineering support during construction; assisting engineers with cost and material estimates and preliminary design studies.
- Reviewing and comprehending the latest information regarding civil/structural calculations, equipment drawings, and layouts or drawings from other disciplines before initiating design efforts on specific drawings.
- Knowledge of all information required for developing detailed design construction drawings.
- Familiarity with and utilization of department design and drafting standards
- Recognizing and communicating project scope, specifications, and design criteria upon assignment to a project task team.
- Recognizing and communicating scope and design changes promptly.
- Checking the accuracy and quality of drawings developed by drafters, when assigned, based on information conveyed by engineering direction, equipment, and discipline drawings, providing technical guidance to less experienced drafting personnel in the department.
- Coordinating & delegating work activities with other teammates and the discipline leads.
- Ability to produce drawings for concrete, structural steel, and/or civil disciplines.
- Ability to create accurate civil/structural construction documents from the information found on vendor equipment drawings.
- Drafting civil/structural plans under minimal supervision.
