Operational Product Manager

Fully remote: Preferred candidate location is Saint Louis, MO or Massachusetts
Responsibilities:
- As part of the Diagnostics & Regulated Material Business Franchise we have the exciting opportunity to join the Product Management Operations Team. We are therefore looking for a dynamic, high-performing individual who will be responsible for one of our fastest-growing business franchises and report directly to the Head of Product Management Operations.
- The role includes global responsibility for product life cycle management and product line support of assigned product portfolios. Key responsibilities of the role will be ensuring delivery speed, product availability, cost effectiveness and driving product introduction, product maintenance, quality management, and ensuring regulatory requirements are met whilst liaising with critical internal functions (Product Management, Production, Supply chain, QC, Reg Affairs, Customer Service, Global Procurement, Reg Affairs, EQ, R&D) globally.
- You drive improvement of processes & services, execution, and implementation of strategic initiatives with a focus on CONF/SPEC/VAR products and closely partner with internal stakeholders and interfaces in day-to-day and project setups to drive structural and operational improvements to contribute to the realization of financial targets.
- Furthermore, the main objectives are ensuring delivery speed, product availability, cost effectiveness, and the management of the products & marketing operations. Operative tasks involve controlling of costs, backorder reduction, inventory reduction, product introduction, product maintenance, quality management, ensuring regulatory requirements, and improving operational excellence in internal processes.
- You are accountable for product master data consistency, product and process knowledge on the existing portfolio and support and execute various projects to optimize business targets, e.g., complex change projects, portfolio analysis, customer experience.
- This position can be based flexibly based on the preference of the candidate.
- Bachelor’s Degree or 1 – 5 years of diversified experience such as Product Manager, Manufacturing Customer Service, Supply Chain Management, Project Management
- Strong analytical skills, problem identification, and resolution/prevention skills
- Excellent process skills & in depth cross-functional understanding for roles in Product Management, Customer Service, Production, Supply Chain, QC, Reg Affairs, Global Procurement, EQ, R&D, Franchises required.
- Good understanding of system landscape (SAP, Accolade, MDGM, Trackwise, AERA, SFDC) and strong customer orientation (both internal and external)
- Ability to make decisions independently, articulate requirements and advocate for customers internally, and react to business-critical situations (influencing and prioritization skills)
- Strong communication (oral/written) and presentation skills both internally and externally
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage and track multiple activities and projects.
- Fluency in English
