Pay: $31.00
Requirements:
- Must wear FRC (Flame-Resistant Clothing) and steel-toe boots
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
Position Summary:
As a Railcar Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently supporting day-to-day operations at the San Diego terminal, with a focus on rail car offloading, tank farm activities, and terminal logistics. This hands-on role involves inventory management, routine inspections, regulatory compliance, and coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.
As a Railcar Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently supporting day-to-day operations at the San Diego terminal, with a focus on rail car offloading, tank farm activities, and terminal logistics. This hands-on role involves inventory management, routine inspections, regulatory compliance, and coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately maintain and file facility records and documentation per standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Handle documentation including, but not limited to: stock control, waste management, regulatory compliance, internal controls, driver reports, incident investigations, and training logs
- Conduct inventory reconciliation and assist in product shipment processes as directed by the Head Operator (HO), Lead Operator (LO), or Senior Operator (SO)
- Coordinate with supply chain schedulers, transport providers, and regulatory agencies as required
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations as well as internal operating procedures and safety protocols
- Assist in training and onboarding contractors; may support driver certification/re-certification for loading operations
- Perform operational inspections, environmental checks, and basic maintenance tasks to ensure terminal integrity and efficiency
- Execute corrective actions and arrange for or perform necessary repairs
- Support the execution of preventative maintenance programs
- Perform tasks in the Tank Yard and Tank Truck Loading Rack (TTLR) areas, including:
- Tank gauging, draining, switching, stormwater discharge, and sealing meters/fittings
- Daily inspections, intra-terminal product movement, driver assistance, product sampling, blending, and testing
- Monitor product quality, ensure specifications are met, and escalate product integrity issues as needed
- Take corrective actions for non-conforming products to maintain safety and compliance
- Provide mentorship and training to team members on operational procedures, equipment use, regulatory compliance, and safety standards
- Complete all assigned and recurring training on schedule
