Job Description

Sirius Staffing is seeking a Packing Equipment Operator to work at a Large Manufacturing plant in Waterford, NY. This is a long-term contract position that offers a sign-on bonus and a possible pay increase after six months. 
 
The primary duties involve placing incoming orders on shelves and picking merchandise according to specific customer requirements. As a Packaging Equipment Operator/Material Handler, you will monitor inventory and communicate any shortages. Some physical strength is required, as you may often need to lift packages by hand.
 
Pay is $20 hour + $1500 SIGN ON BONUS + PTO accrued | Holiday Pay | Medical/Dental/Vision insurance offered

This is a 12-hour rotating shift position. (Schedule is 2 on, 3 off, 3 on, 2 off. Rotates from days to nights, concurrently)  
 
Education/Experience required:
 
  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a Material Handler, Warehouse Associate, or similar position
  • Experience in Shipping and Receiving
  • Experience in using warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks)
 
 PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
 
  • Operate automated bagging machines after training.
  • Wrap orders and load them onto delivery trucks.
  • Monitor inventory and suggest new orders as needed.
  • Document orders, materials, and stock movements.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, packaging machines, palletizing platforms, and bag flatteners.
  • Keep the warehouse clean by sweeping, vacuuming, and disposing of debris daily.
  • Provide daily activity reports.
  • Receive inbound materials and supplies, including maintenance items.
  • Inspect and report on warehouse equipment regularly to ensure it’s in working order.
  • Follow all safety requirements and emergency procedures, reporting any unsafe conditions to the Shift Supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
