Job Description
Packaging Operator III – Day Shift
? Schedule: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM | Rotating 2-week schedule
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
- Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday
Job Summary:
We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented Packaging Operator III professionals to join our manufacturing team. In this hands-on role, you will operate automated packaging equipment and contribute to the efficient and safe packaging of high-quality products in a GMP-regulated environment. You’ll work in a fast-paced setting, support continuous improvement initiatives, and help maintain a safe and compliant workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain automated packaging lines, including drum massagers, delumpers, filling machines, cappers, and automated labelers
- Perform hand weighing operations and use powered industrial equipment (e.g., forklifts)
- Ensure accuracy in product flow and adherence to packaging procedures
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors across shifts
- Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas
- Troubleshoot packaging issues and participate in root cause analysis
- Provide training and operational guidance to other team members
- Support and lead improvement projects aimed at enhancing packaging efficiency and compliance
- Uphold safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Qualifications:
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred: High school coursework in chemistry or 6+ months of chemistry-related work experience
- 2–4 years of packaging experience preferred, but not required
- Forklift operation experience highly desirable
- Previous experience in a GMP-regulated environment is a plus
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise procedures
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to shifting priorities
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Familiarity with Lean practices or process improvement is a plus
