About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Packaging Operator to join our manufacturing team. This individual will be responsible for a variety of production-related tasks, including receiving materials, packaging finished goods, and ensuring compliance with strict safety and documentation standards. Ideal candidates are hands-on, safety-conscious, and comfortable working with chemicals and manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced environment.
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Packaging Operator to join our manufacturing team. This individual will be responsible for a variety of production-related tasks, including receiving materials, packaging finished goods, and ensuring compliance with strict safety and documentation standards. Ideal candidates are hands-on, safety-conscious, and comfortable working with chemicals and manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming materials; label and store them properly
- Manually portion chemicals (e.g., amino acids) according to SOPs and batch records
- Operate electric pallet jacks and walk-behind tow motors to move materials
- Package, label, and palletize finished goods for shipment
- Perform quality checks and sample products for QC testing
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Accurately complete batch records and logbooks in accordance with GDP/ALCOA principles
- Conduct material identification testing and generate reports
- Perform SAP transactions and support inventory control
- Follow all PPE policies including use of respirator, clean-shaven face, and short nails
Required Qualifications:
- Prior warehouse, packaging, or production experience
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately
- Comfortable using power tools and material handling equipment
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Proficient with computer systems and documentation practices
- Willing to wear a full-face respirator (training provided)
- Must be clean-shaven and keep nails trimmed per policy
Preferred Experience:
- Chemical handling or experience in a GMP-regulated environment
- Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems
- Past quality control or team lead roles
