Packaging Operator

Sirius Staffing is seeking an Packaging Operator for a temporary to permanent contract in ST. Louis, MO. Please contact us today for more info!
Pay: $23-$25/hr.
Schedule: 6am-2:30pm (flexible if needed)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Stage, fill (manually or semi-automatically), cap, label and over pack liquid, powder and lyophilized products per approved downstream specifications while utilizing all required safety equipment. Complete appropriate documentation per ISO procedures and deliver products to inventory.
- Fill, cap and label chemical products.
- Follow all quality and safety procedures.
- Support quality systems.
- Train others and work in a team setting.
- Anticipate and communicate bottlenecks and malfunction issues that inhibit process flow. Perform minor maintenance and troubleshoot issues with the fill line/process.
- Completely and accurately communicate line status, problems, and issues to incoming shift/team lead or supervisor.
- Support Process Improvement efforts
REQUIREMENTS:
- A 2-Year Degree.
- 2 years of direct manufacturing experience in a GMP/Pharmaceutical or related industry.
- SAP experience is a must-have unless someone is offsetting it by high computer literacy on similar ERP packages.
- Proficiency in basic mathematics such as unit conversions, multiplication/division, and calculation using formulas.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Experience with computer systems related to business applications.
- Demonstrated experience in 5S and Lean environments.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Extended periods of standing and repetitive movements.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. with lifting equipment.
- Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- Required to wear an air helmet, mask, safety shoes, apron rubber and tyvek suits, protective gloves, and safety glasses and goggles while performing in this position.
