Job Description

Sirius Staffing is seeking a Packaging Operator for a contract-to-hire position in Urbana, IL.  
Pay:$22.00/ hour
Schedule:M-F, 8:30am-5pm (could have some flex after training 6-8:30am start time/ 8.5 hour day)
Summary: 
Packaging Operator will manage the packaging process for manufactured chemicals by collaborating with the site planner, operations supervisor, and shipping department to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. Responsibilities include receiving materials, preparing containers, labeling products, and maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy throughout the process.
Essential duties:
  • Receive materials that have cleared final quality inspection and prepare packaging containers based on order specifications.
  • Fill prepared containers according to the required configurations and ensure final labeling accuracy.
  • Transfer packaged products to the shipping department while ensuring orders are completed on time, clean, and accurate.
  • Complete detailed paperwork and perform computer transactions to support packaging and ERP systems.
  • Maintain departmental SOPs, proper inventory, and the organization and cleanliness of the packaging area.
  • Uphold high-quality standards throughout all packaging operations.
 
 
Requirements : 
  • High School Diploma or GED (minimum).
  • Knowledge of forklift operations.
