Job Description

Sirius Staffing is seeking a Packing Equipment Operator to work at a large Manufacturing plant in Waterford, NY. This is a long-term contract position.  
 
The primary duties involve handling materials, operating warehouse equipment, including a forklift, and preparing shipments according to requirements. Some physical strength is required, as you may often need to lift packages by hand. 
 
Rate: $20-22/hr BOE 
 
Schedule: 12-hour rotating shift position. (Schedule is 2 on, 3 off, 3 on, 2 off. Rotates from days to nights, concurrently)  
 
Education/Experience required:
 
  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a Material Handler, Warehouse Associate, or similar position
  • Experience in Shipping and Receiving
  • Experience in using warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks)
 
Responsibilities: 
 
  • Operate warehouse equipment, including Forklifts, Packaging Machines, Palletizing platforms, and automated Bagging machines after training
  • Operate Forklift to transport materials and palletized units for staging in a warehouse or on trucks for shipment 
  • Monitor inventory and document orders, materials, and stock movements.
  • Keep the warehouse clean by sweeping, vacuuming, and disposing of debris daily.
  • Provide daily activity reports.
  • Receive inbound materials and supplies, including maintenance items.
  • Inspect and report on warehouse equipment regularly to ensure it’s in working order.
  • Follow all safety requirements and emergency procedures, reporting unsafe conditions to the Shift Supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
