Sirius Staffing is seeking Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technicians in Birmingham, AL. This is an excellent opportunity to learn from industry experts in a science-driven work environment. Rate: $20/hr + Benefits Offered + PTO | Holiday Pay  
Type: Full-time, long-term contract, offering a stable and secure opportunity with the possibility of direct hire.   
Shifts: This will start on 1st shift (8a-5p) but will then transition to 2nd shift (3p-12a)
 
This role supports aseptic, terminal sterilized (cleanroom), and non-aseptic processes for pharmaceutical and polymer manufacturing across development, clinical, and commercial phases.
 
What you need to qualify for this position:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Chemistry or Biology (preferred)
  • 2+ years of relevant industry experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical environment 
  • Familiarity with GMP or cGMP work environments
  • Experience in machining or related fields is beneficial for understanding production processes.
  • Manufacturing industry experience with strong mechanical reasoning and critical thinking skills
  • Proficient in documentation, math, and computer skills
  • Ability to perform aseptic techniques with minimal supervision
 
Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain production equipment used in the fabrication of pharmaceutical products (PLC-controlled machinery) 
  • Accurately perform development/engineering, GLP, or GMP batch records 
  • Use essential hand and specialty tools for equipment operation
  • Assemble and disassemble processing equipment for various processes
  • Identify opportunities for maintenance, calibration, and improvement of facilities, equipment, and procedures
  • Package finished products according to specifications, ensuring quality and accuracy. 
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, always adhering to safety protocols.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, including wearing PPE.
