Sirius Staffing is seeking candidates for a Process Engineer position in Miamisburg, OH. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity! Please contact me for more info!
Schedule: 7:30a-4:00 pm.
Pay:$48.00 -$57.00/ hour
Summary: This role supports 13CO distillation operations, ensuring productivity, efficiency, and safety within the plant. The engineer will partner with plant personnel to develop innovative solutions for production and operational challenges, lead projects up to $1M, and serve as a technical liaison on larger initiatives. The position combines hands-on process engineering with project management responsibilities to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Review plant operations to ensure ongoing productivity, efficiency, and safety.
- Proactively identify operating issues and opportunities for improvement; develop and implement cost-effective solutions.
- Collaborate with plant personnel, maintenance, and management to assess needs and deliver engineering support.
- Evaluate new technologies to enhance plant operations and provide competitive advantages.
- Maintain plant design and process safety management documentation to support current operations and future expansion.
- Justify, scope, and design capital projects; manage approval processes and execution for projects under $1M.
- Serve as a process liaison with Project Engineering on larger-scale projects.
- Conduct technical evaluations, calculations, and specifications to ensure compliance with codes, policies, and regulatory standards.
- Develop and review P&IDs, Material and Energy Balances, and other design documentation, in collaboration with CAD resources.
- Monitor and manage project schedules and budgets, communicating deviations and changes to stakeholders promptly.
- Prepare scope change documents and cost estimates for management approval.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related degree (required).
- 4–9 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Strong background in chemical process engineering and project management.
- Proven ability to lead small to mid-scale projects with cost, schedule, and safety accountability.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
