Job Description

Sirius Staffing is seeking a Product Technician/RD Lab Tech for a contract position in Birmingham, AL. The Technician will join our team in the medical device research and development area. The primary responsibility of this role is process development for a specific project within the R&D department. The ideal candidate will be involved in multiple process engineering studies, with a strong focus on meticulous documentation, deriving conclusions, and drafting comprehensive development reports.

Rate: up to $30hr.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct process engineering studies and experiments in a lab setting, ensuring thorough documentation and adherence to established protocols.
  • Develop and maintain detailed development reports, manufacturing work instructions, product specification documents, and manufacturing production records.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision after initial training on specific processes and protocols.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office and other software tools to prepare detailed reports and communicate findings effectively.
  • Maintain regular communication with management, providing timely updates on progress and suggesting solutions to any issues encountered.
  • Initially focus on lab work (approximately 80%), report writing (15%), and training (5%). As the project progresses towards production, the focus will shift to report writing and documentation (80%), lab work (15%), and training (5%).
 
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a lab environment, preferably within the medical device or related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with team members.
