Production Operator / Supervisor
Location: Bay City, TX
Pay: $45–$55/hour (Based on Experience) + Benefits offered + PTO accrued and Holiday Pay
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Assignment Duration: 6 months+, with potential extension

Sirius Staffing is seeking a Senior-level Production Operator/Supervisor with extensive experience in operator training, development, and process optimization within an industrial chemical plant environment. This role will play a key part in enhancing operational performance by mentoring operators, auditing and updating procedures, and contributing to plant safety and compliance.
Key Requirements
- 7–10+ years of proven experience as a Production Operator in a chemical or industrial plant setting, with some of those years in a supervisory or team lead role
- Previous experience as a Production Supervisor, Coordinator, or Operator Trainer
- Strong background in chemical production supervision, troubleshooting, and equipment operations
- Ability to optimize plant processes and procedures
- Comfortable with hands-on work, including climbing towers, elevated work, and navigating production areas
- Physically able to wear full PPE, including a respirator
- Strong understanding of safety standards and process hazard analysis
- Understanding of LNG liquefaction and regasification systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and operations-related digital tools.
- Strong technical knowledge of P&IDs, process controls, and isolation procedures.
- Process Technology certification or equivalent technical education preferred.
- Prior experience with commissioning/start-up and brownfield integration projects is highly desirable.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead operator training and development, focusing on plant production optimization, process fundamentals and troubleshooting
- Identify training gaps and deliver effective one-on-one and shift-based coaching
- Develop and revise operator rounds procedures and shift documentation
- Shadow operators to observe processes, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions
- Audit and update SOPs and production policies for specific areas (e.g., FOL, MMA, MAL)
- Collaborate with Environmental, Safety & Health (ESH) teams to integrate safety protocols and ensure compliance
- Participate in safety initiatives, including process hazard analyses (PHA) and job safety analyses (JSA)
- Step in as an Operator when needed to support daily production operations
- Perform additional duties as required by plant leadership
