Job Title: Production Technician III
Pay Rate: $28 - $33 per hour
Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM (2 days on, 2 days off, every other weekend)

Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Production Technician III to join our pharmaceutical manufacturing team. This is a senior-level role where you will be responsible for handling bulk processing operations in a highly regulated Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) environment. The job involves working with pharmaceutical products, operating machinery, performing quality checks, and ensuring all safety and compliance protocols are followed.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow company procedures and GMP guidelines to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Sanitize production areas, including formulation rooms, staging areas, and raw material dispensing rooms.
  • Conduct filter integrity testing and clean manufacturing equipment and vessels.
  • Weigh and dispense raw materials and perform bulk formulation (mixing ingredients according to precise measurements).
  • Handle and maintain production equipment, including routine maintenance and Steam-in-Place (SIP) operations.
  • Work in aseptic (sterile) environments as needed, including unloading sterilized equipment from autoclaves.
  • Monitor and oversee the work of junior technicians (Production Technician I & II).
  • Assist in investigating product quality issues and suggest corrective actions.
  • Keep track of inventory, place supply orders, and manage production materials.
  • Perform final batch record reviews before submission to Quality Assurance.
  • Participate in mandatory hazardous waste training and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Report any infectious diseases or open wounds immediately, as handling pharmaceutical products requires strict hygiene standards.
What You Need to Qualify:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or Life Sciences is a plus).
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a pharmaceutical, biotech, chemical, or diagnostic manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
    • Experience with bulk formulation, equipment cleaning, and preparation.
    • Familiarity with SAP software is a plus.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate production equipment.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 10 lbs.
    • Requires standing for long hours, bending, kneeling, and using hands for precise tasks.
    • Good vision, color perception, and attention to detail.
  • Other Skills:
    • Strong leadership and communication skills to guide and train junior technicians.
    • Ability to troubleshoot issues and find solutions.
    • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.) are a plus.
